| Fernando T. Avila, M.D., Diplomate of American Academy
of Pain Management and American Board of Anesthesiology,
established the Pain Management Centers of South Texas in 1991.
In 1995 he added Aquatic Therapy. Dr. Avila utilizes well
established clinical pathways in his decision making to treat
acute and chronic pain. Additionally, conventional physical
therapy modalities are used with the philosophy that “Patients
need to actively participate in their own healing process.”
The Aquatic Therapy Center was built with a state of the art
1,200 square foot heated pool, designed specifically for
therapy. Pain is real but suffering is unnecessary. Treatment is
available.
